S/STEEL SAUCE PAN
A sauce pan, fry pan, or skillet is a flat-bottomed pan used for frying, searing, and browning foods. It is typically 20 to 30 cm (8 to 12 in) in diameter with relatively low sides that flare outwards, a long handle, and no lid. A pan of similar dimensions, but with less flared, more vertical sides and often with a lid, is called a saute pan. While a sauté pan can be used like a frying pan, it is designed for lower-heat cooking methods, namely sauteing. Stainless steel cookware is generally made as a cladding of stainless steel on both sides of an aluminium or copper core to conduct the heat across all sides, thereby reducing ''hot spots'', or with a disk of copper or aluminium on just the base to conduct the heat across the base, with possible ''hot spots'' at the sides.
